A Village Visit, Marked by Disappointment

insufficient cleaning unclean room
The location is beautiful. The staff was friendly.
I was expecting a seamless experience, but I faced unexpected issues. I did found a lack of attention to detail particularly bothered me. The room was not cleaned thoroughly on arrival.

mixed feelings about my stay

misleading offer breakfast quality
i was a bit let down by a couple of things. the advertised supper and stay offer seemed misleading. i thought it was a straightforward £40 allowance per person for dinner, but the bill didn't reflect that, and the receptionist mentioned others had the same confusion. it was like we ended up paying more than if we'd just booked bed and breakfast separately. this left a sour taste despite the otherwise enjoyable stay (the room was ok, bathroom great!).
