the hotel sits right by the river (it's so peaceful!) and the gardens are lovely. the hotel served great breakfast and i found the staff very friendly and professional.
the service felt a bit slow on one afternoon. i also noticed that the butter provided with the scones was too cold and hard to spread.

I found easy parking in the hotel car park. the reception was warm and cute. the gardens were beautiful. I spent time relaxing on the terrace. i greatly appreciated the peaceful setting and the overall cleanliness throughout my visit.

The car park got full since external visitors also used it. I had to wait for a spot.

the afternoon tea was a highlight. the finger sandwiches were fresh and tasty. plain and fruit scones came nicely warm with generous portions of delicious strawberry jam. our waiting staff was courteous and acknowledged our celebration.
the gardens were not well signposted from the hotel. it made navigation slightly inconvenient.

My Classic Double Room featured lovely decor. I found the bed very comfortable, which ensured restful nights. The hotel provided fresh milk and fruit daily in the room, a good touch.
The hotel car park was full upon arrival, also later due to external visitors. This made parking a bit difficult.
