Peaceful retreat near the New Forest

The staff was friendly and helpful. I found the price and food to be fantastic, especially the burgers. This place is a great base for exploring the New Forest and surrounding areas. The team suggested several places to visit and things to see.
I wasn't told about breakfast or checkout times during check-in. i had to message the hotel for details because i was out at a wedding.

My room was a good size, and the bed felt comfortable. The room included a lovely supply of toiletries and welcome supplies of tea and biscuits. Crisp bed linen contributed to a really good night's sleep.

Breakfast was not a warm buffet but made to order. The waiter working on Monday 12th May was friendly and cute (i wish i asked for his name!).

The pub is great with modern facilities. It is clean and well maintained with a nice sun terrace. The bar looked modern and clean. The hotel is set on the edge of the New Forest.
