The reception team greeted us with unparalleled courtesy, setting a promising tone for our short break. the spa offered various well-appointed services, inviting us to unwind and relax. our evening meal featured generous portions, cooked to perfection and served with excellent professionalism. I liked that.
Upon entering our room, a slight smell of damp lingered, something I believe deserves attention. in the bathroom, you could notice some water damage along the wall. I hope the hotel maintenance team addresses this soon

Excellent Stay with Conference Facilities

The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was really comfy. I found the hotel's conference facilities worked well for my business needs (setting was conducive to productive meetings). Housekeeping returned my glasses after I left them in the room and I appreciated that.
The room lacked a fridge. There were no complimentary water bottles or toiletries beyond hand wash and shower gel provided. This was inconvenient, especially since I stayed for several nights.

the gym had several machines, including treadmills and stationary bikes. the pool area included many loungers, so i always found a place to relax. the bar area adjacent to the spa was convenient and relaxing, offering a great way to unwind after treatments. the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, especially in the retreat bar.
the bathroom design felt slightly outdated.

Really good Stay, Quality and Comfort

The room was spacious and very clean with a comfortable bed. The gym had modern equipment with several treadmills and stationary bikes. I appreciated the breakfast with a fabulous selection of hot and cold items. The cream tea offered was delicious in the afternoon.
Parking was difficult upon arrival. It was challenging to find an available space. The hotel seemed busy, possibly impacting parking availability. A better parking system would benefit future guests.

the grounds were spacious. a variety of outdoor games for both adults and children were available. i found plenty of parking spaces. the location is also good for visiting the north east.
i could not get booked in the restaurant until 20:15. the waiting time for drinks was long. it took 30 minutes for 2 lime and soda waters to arrive. also the food seemed a little tasteless.
