The location IS excellent for visiting local attractions.

My room, the Armoury, was dark. The room lighting did not sufficiently illuminate the space, even with all lamps switched on. the bathroom lacked a proper towel rack. Damp towels had to be draped over furniture.

I secured the Beautiful Suite Vestry. It included a spacious bathroom with two sinks and a separate shower. The room had dark wood furniture and velvet drapes.

The street outside was quite noisy early in the morning. I could hear delivery trucks.

The room was splendid. The location was perfect, situated on the Royal Mile. I found the food really good and the staff wonderful. The continental breakfast was served in my suite each morning. I noted the spread and choice were amazing.

The bathroom had terrible pressure and a shower over a tall tub with fabric shower curtains.

The service was beyond anything I had received in other places. Every person I encountered was very kind and accommodating. I was greeted by friendly and efficient staff from start to finish.

The hotel is located very close to the Castle itself. The bustle outside did not intrude into the very quiet Suite. I found the location to be perfect to visit the main attractions.
