Underwhelming Stay, Restaurant Issues and Room Discomfort

My dinner was a real letdown. I ordered the spinach and chickpea coconut curry. It was watery. The rice was overcooked, almost rubbery. I also found whole star anise in the curry. The bathroom smelled of damp. The sink was blocked as well.

I found parking very easy and free. The staff welcomed me warmly. They seemed efficient. The room faced the garden. I also enjoyed the well kept garden, a peaceful spot.

I noticed noise from the corridor and other rooms. The soundproofing could use some improvement. This affected sleep quality.

Breakfast service impressed me. my room proved perfectly clean and i found the staff happy. the hotel location was perfect. it made exploring the surrounding area very easy. i found the garden lovely. The two-seater swings were great. the decor of the hotel aligned well with the area.

The bathroom plug was closed and would not open. That was slightly annoying.

the check-in process was quick, thanks to a very pleasant lady at reception. room 204 had a really comfortable bed. i liked the classic fm radio that played as i entered the room, with a handwritten welcome note.

the breakfast eggs tasted bland, quite underwhelming. there seemed to be a shortage of staff during breakfast service. i felt it was not good value for money considering what was offered.

The room felt somewhat outdated and could benefit from an upgrade. I was also disappointed by the bar service. It was quite slow. Ordering drinks took longer than expected on multiple occasions. the noise from a wedding one evening was disruptive.
