The location was wonderful (a real escape!). The staff were friendly. The room was perfectly clean. I found spaciousness and comfort to be highlights.
I noticed the food portions were somewhat small for fish and chips. The pea side was almost nonexistent. The beef roast had poor quality with extensive grizzle.

Really good Experience at the Inn

This was my first visit. The bar area featured a log fire creating a cozy atmosphere. The staff showed genuine friendliness. I especially enjoyed the hot, nicely cooked food. The New Forest surroundings are beautiful.
The bathroom only had a bath with a short hose, made showering a little difficult. I believe that a stand-up shower would improve the overall experience . This small change would.

There is a great bar area available to use, and it features a roaring log fire. This creates a very inviting atmosphere! It felt wonderful to sit and enjoy the atmosphere after a long day.

The food was good and nicely cooked, particularly after long forest walks. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast that offered a good choice of hot food. The restaurant provided an excellent dining experience.

The staff provided the warmest of welcomes upon arrival. Their friendliness enhanced the entire stay. and I am grateful for their attentiveness.

The room had nice decor plus a comfortable bed. The modern bathroom featured a big bath and a walk in shower. I appreciated the large, well-furnished patio facing the forest.

the building had a beautiful setting in a quiet location. it was convenient to take walks from there. the room was lovely and equipped well. i found a fan that helped when the room got a little hot..
i found a mix-up with the starters order. my husband ordered chicken wings, but duck wings arrived. he had to quickly order something different so the main courses would not be delayed. the chicken milanese was disappointing, especially considering its price..
