Acceptable stay with some issues
many stairs separate reception
The location worked well for my needs.
My room was on a high floor and there was no elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up many flights of stairs. The reception is not located in the same building either. I found this inconvenient and poorly communicated before my arrival.

Decent Stay with Minor Issues

The location is really convenient. It's close to cafes and restaurants. The Bayswater metro station is also within walking distance. I had a nice single room (it was very clean!).
The room was too warm. There was no air conditioning and the window could only open a small bit. A fan was already in the room (so this is probably not new). They really should address this.

the location provides easy access to public transport. the room was clean. the staff was helpful with directions (they really knew the area!). i found the tea and coffee making facilities convenient for a quick morning beverage.
the walls were thin. i could hear noise from other rooms and the hallway.

disjointed check-in missing bedside table
the location was decent , with easy access to nearby attractions.
the check-in process was odd. i had to go to the phoenix hotel next door , then get buzzed into the building , it felt very disjointed. also , the room lacked a bedside table , so there was nowhere to put my phone or glasses at night , which was inconvenient.

the room included tea and coffee making facilities. the location is near many shops and restaurants, including charlie's kitchen. bayswater tube station is a short walk, about five minutes. the reception is open 24 hours.
my window did not close properly. it rattled with every gust of wind. this woke me several times.

adequate stay
convenient access helpful staff efficient travel missing elevator missing fridge non-adjustable air conditioning
the location provided convenient access to transportation. i found several bus and tube stops just minutes away. this made travel to various parts of the city quite efficient. the staff demonstrated kindness and proved genuinely helpful throughout my stay.
i found no elevator, i had to climb stairs. this was particularly challenging with luggage. the room lacked a refrigerator. i do not know if the air conditioning worked properly because i found no controls to adjust it.
