clean room cooked breakfast central location
The room was clean and maintained to a high standard. I appreciated the breakfast which was made to order. The location proved advantageous for exploring local attractions. I found many places within a short walk.
The windows are old and let in a bit of a draft.

Our double room included fresh bed linen and comfortable pillows. The en-suite bathroom had all basic facilities. It included clean towels. The decoration was pleasing and recent. I found the ambience cute.

Breakfast options included traditional english fare and other choices. The menu had something for everyone. It offered a good start to the day. All items were prepared fresh. Everything tasted well.

Staff members were friendly. They were helpful with directions and suggestions. The housekeeper ensured our room remained super clean. I am grateful for her attention to detail. The check in service was efficient. It made the arrival easy.

The hotel is CENTRAL. It is close to shops and restaurants. The train station is also a short walk. I could get around easily. This proximity makes exploring convenient. I appreciated the accessibility.

excessive noise slow check-in
the room was clean and tidy. breakfast was excellent.
The noise from the pub below was excessive until midnight. i also found the check-in process quite slow. the bar staff seemed disinterested. It was a disappointing welcome.

The location was great for accessing local attractions.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues
public car park ineffective heating
Parking was not available on site, though this was indicated. I had to use the public car park behind the building. The cost was an unexpected addition. The room temperature was uncomfortably cold. The heating system did not seem to function effectively.
