a valentine's dream

the sight of the hall was amazing as we arrived. the room, though a standard double, had a heart towel and rose petals, it felt so special. we enjoyed a lovely bath with the toiletries provided before our valentine's day meal.

I did notice people were smoking just outside the entrance to reception. It wasn't a great first impression, and this could easily be shifted away from the doorway.

the room was spacious and clean, i found complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits, and water. the bathroom offered toiletries that smelled divine, very much like a spa experience. the bed linens were crisp and the pillows were soft, and i slept soundly.

The room's soundproofing could be better, i heard the neighboring toilet user quite clearly. That was a surprise. dinner, though, was mixed. Starters were good, but the main courses had issues. i was offered an alternative. I declined due to lost confidence in the kitchen.

I found the bathroom facilities to be lovely. The food was great. I particularly enjoyed the pork belly. There was lots of space in my room. the room was indeed excellent.

the room i got was very small. It was difficult to move around with my walking frame. i was offered an upgrade at an EXTRA cost, which i found unfair.
